Kazakhstan appoints new Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – Tamara Duissenova has been appointed as the new minister of labor and social protection of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform learned from the Akorda press service.

The Head of State decreed to appoint Tamara Duissenova Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Prior to her appointment, Ms. Duissenova held the position of Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the Investigation Control Department at the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Tamara Duissenova graduated from the Tashkent Institute of National Economy in 1987. Throughout her professional career, she served as the first deputy akim (mayor) of the city of Shymkent, deputy akim (governor ) of the South Region of Kazakhstan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population, as well as Vice-Akim (Governor) of the South Region of Kazakhstan.

She was also Minister of Health and Social Development between 2014 and 2017 and Minister of Labor and Social Welfare of Population between 2017 and 2018. In 2019, she was appointed Secretary of the Nur Otan Party (now Parti Amanat).

In May 2020, she took the post of Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Head of the Investigation Control Department in the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
