MMC for health and social development sworn

On February 22, a new coalition agreement was signed by the national leadership of the DA, FF Plus, ActionSA, Cope, IFP, ACDP and PA, paving the way for a stronger and more effective coalition.

AP Councilor Ashley Sauls has been sworn in as MMC for Health and Social Development.

“On behalf of the Multi-Party Government of Johannesburg (MPG), I welcome Mr. MC Sauls to the City’s Executive Leadership, and look forward to working with him and the Mayor’s Committee as we continue to build quickly and with passion a City of golden opportunities.

“I would also like to thank Councilor Franco De Lange of FF Plus for his service as a member of the Mayor’s Committee and for his selfless investment in the stability of Johannesburg MPG in stepping down as MMC to make way for the PA” said Mayor Phalatse.

De Lange voluntarily resigned as MMC for Health and Social Development after steadfastly serving the people of Johannesburg, across all seven regions, with so much passion and compassion.

“Our work as MPG extends beyond our respective political affiliations and focuses on serving the people of Johannesburg for five years,” she said.
