Ooredoo’s Pioneering Community Work Honored at GCC Social Development Forum in Saudi Arabia

Ooredoo’s pioneering work in supporting communities across Oman was honored at a meeting of the GCC Social Development Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Nominated by Oman’s Ministry of Social Development, Ayesha Al Shoily, CSR Manager at Ooredoo, received the award on behalf of the telecommunications company. Ooredoo joined private sector companies, voluntary organizations and commercial sector representatives from across the region to celebrate innovative social projects.

The meeting brought together ministerial committees for public service, social development and labor from across the GCC to enhance cooperation and recognize the efforts of leaders in labor, development and social affairs. It was the first time that the committee meetings of the three sectors were held simultaneously and aims to establish strong collaboration in social, economic and digital services across the region. Ooredoo also thanked the Ministry of Social Development for supporting and acknowledging the efforts of the private sector to contribute to the community through its CSR programs.

Ooredoo’s community projects have been touted as a positive example of community engagement and collaboration for the benefit of individuals, families and different charities across Oman.
