Sector Joint Task Force 2 Operation Hadin Kai in the North East organized the Nigerian Army Social Activities 2021 in Yobe on Saturday.

The event aimed to straighten the social relations between officers, soldiers and their families as well as their friends through cultural exhibitions, musical performances and other regulated activities.

Speaking at the event, Brigade Commander-General AG Nura, represented by Brigadier General Imaobong Akpaumontia, said the event was designed to create an atmosphere where officers and men come together outside slices for drinking, dining and partying.

He said the event was also to appreciate the troops for the successes achieved in 2021.

“We will continue to be committed to fulfilling our functional roles in accordance with the vision of Army Chief of Staff, General Liuetenent Faruk Yahaya.

“My sincere gratitude goes to President Muhammadu Buhari for his support in the leadership of the Nigerian military.” He said.

In his address, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, represented by Yobe State Government Secretary, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, said that the event gave him the opportunity to meet the Hadin Kai operations troops who are making sacrifices to secure the state and other states in the Northeast.

He urged the troops not to slacken their efforts until Yobe State and the entire northeast are secure.

“It should be noted that the efforts of Hadin Kai operations troops provided an enabling environment,” he said.
