Sudan: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development hails the contribution of Sudanese women to change

Khartoum — The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Gamal Al-Nil Abdalla, hailed the contribution of Sudanese women to the December revolution and change and their participation in the development of the country.

This came during his address yesterday at the opening session of the workshop on the Gender Policy Implementation Plan and the Common Market for Eastern Africa Gender Planning Guidelines and (COMESA), organized by COMESA in cooperation with the Women’s Department of the Ministry of Social Development at the Kanon Hotel here. .

Abdalla said the workshop is of great importance for mainstreaming gender policies based on gender equality in all policies and programs in a scientific manner with clear indicators.

The head of the visiting COMESA delegation, on her part, said the workshop is an opportunity to talk with stakeholders in Sudan, noting that there is a charter for social development in member states in the country. interest in sustainable social development.

Meanwhile, the director of the women’s department of the Ministry of Social Development, Wedad Abdullah, stressed that Sudan is working on spreading the policy, raising awareness and discussing all the set goals.
