The Ministry of Social Development and Family inaugurates an exhibition of private associations and institutions

Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family yesterday inaugurated the second annual exhibition of private associations and institutions in cooperation with the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs represented by the General Administration endowments and Qatar Charity.

The opening of the exhibition, which was held under the slogan “My Association in Community Service”, was attended by HE the Minister of Social Development and Family Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad and several heads of agencies organizers, as well as representatives of the 20 participating establishments.

Deputy Assistant Secretary for Social Affairs Mubarak Ghanem Al Kuwari said that the Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Department of Private Associations and Institutions, through the second exhibition seeks to organize voluntary social work, activating social participation, raising the level of knowledge of society of private associations and institutions, advancing their role and obtaining distinguished results from exposure that benefit society.

Al Kuwari affirmed that the exhibition reflects the role played by private associations and institutions through social responsibility, whether between the public and private sectors and civil society organizations, pointing out that the success of the first edition of the event in 2019, reinforced the continuity of such exhibitions that organize voluntary social work and activate social participation.

For his part, the director of the department of associations and private institutions in the ministry Naji Abd Rabbo Al Aji said that the exhibition aims to inform the community about the services provided by the associations and their objectives and activities. It is also seen as an arena for dialogue between civil society organizations and members of society, noting that it aims to encourage and motivate civil society organizations to exert remarkable efforts and achieve remarkable achievements. in terms of sustainable development, by supporting and encouraging social and voluntary work in all social areas. areas, activating community participation and strengthening and expanding the responsibilities of effective social partnership roles between state institutions and civil society institutions, leading to the advancement of social accountability to society.

Al Ajmi also pointed out that the exhibition aims to encourage innovation and creativity in the programs and services provided by private associations and institutions to achieve pioneering projects that qualify them to be externally competitive.
